Hats off, General Clark.
I'm only sorry that in a post-911 world, America seems chronically unable to rise above politics as usual. I know you made the best decision based on what you believe you need to do, for personal reasons.
It was a pleasure to be involved in this blog, and I thank you for a valiant effort in the face of a very stacked and crooked deck.
I always thought privately that you were too good for politics in the first place, too much of a good sportsman and a visionary in a dirty world.
Shine on, sir.
We all expect to see a lot more of you in whatever capacity you choose, I still hope for your very visible expertise and involvement in the new administration.
