Thank you General. At 57 years old, I finally had another Hero.  It's been wonderful the time I've spent on the blog watching your fearless campaign, but I guess you and your advisors have decided that the time has come to move on.
I so hoped you would be our next president.  I've been so ashamed of our country these last few years, and I had hope...
I will feel better tomorrow, I guess.  But, I've felt the innocence of youth again, finding someone I could believe in.
Between my sorrow and my anger I make a pledge to you, the other Clarkies, and to our democracy, that I will find out more about the relationship between the media and politics and I hope to make a mark one day as someone who will make a difference--and I'll try to do what I can to bring back a free press, and to make it possible for good people to get involved in politics once again.
General, you've inspired me, and I thank you.  May you continue to have the influence and power that you deserve, and may I see you often in the papers!
Sincerely,
Cynthia Frazier Rogers
Standish, ME
