My wife told me she's going to write Clark's in Nov 04.
I will talk her out of that! We need to kick Bush out of the WH. I'll see to it that she writes Kerry's name in...
As sad as it is that Clark won't be the next POTUS, it's even more important to set our priorities straight. For this election, our goal must be to replace Bush.
Kerry isn't the worst candidate we could think of. I think Dean would be a disaster, and I'm very happy that Dean didn't win the nomination (or won't, most probably).
We need to support John Kerry as of tomorrow, while we think about long-term solutions to the two-party problem, and maybe a new Independent movement. But our immediate goal must be to unite behind Kerry and beat George Bush.
I ask all my fellow Clarkies -including my wife- to do the right thing for this country, and not let sour feelings prevent you from seeing the big picture.
