Unquestionably, he was the best person, as a person, in the race.
He taught me a LOT about true leadership: I think he taught all of us a lot.
He did shape the debate, and sharpened the critique and criticism of W, as it should be.
I've been politically active since the late 60's.  He's the first Presidential candidate that I didn't just support, but wanted, and traveled out of state for and became a coordinator for and gave to and wrote letters for and screwed up my courage and began calling for.
I hope that, somehow, he can continue to play a role in the Democratic Party and in public life.
In so may ways, he is estimable and a role model.
And I'm sad to see this end.  And I'll miss my compatriots on this blog.
