"It was made clear to me that Clark is doing ALL he can to support John Kerry and has a working relationship with him.  Nancy said, "John Kerry will select his Vice President.  Any move to force a Kerry/Clark ticket right now will be embarassing for both of them and only feed the media speculation."  
After the long conversation in which Nancy made it clear she was contacting me as Clark's advance person,  I have definitely adopted the position of 'Wes Clark  Democrat for Kerry.'  This is the message they want to get out now.  They want us to work to help and build the Kerry suppport group (like the meet ups) yet retain our own identity. 
Nancy thinks it is great if we can get as many "Clark for Kerry" people elected as delegates as possible.   She also told me they are in the process of setting up a single unified website  (hopefully up and running in 2-3 weeks) AND Clark will have  a significant announcement and communication in about 2 weeks.  
I get the impression that the General has a very specific adgenda that he is diligently pursuing and our best way to show support is to identify ourselves as Wes Clark Democrats and get involved in the Kerry campaign and/or local elections to help the Democratic Party at a fundamental level."
