csmmm, or whatever:
This is a free speech zone (it always has been), so you are entitled to say whatever you like, provided you do not berate other bloggers, make racial slurs, etc.  If you do so, you will be rated down.   And even if your comments are not "we should do what I THINK General Clark wants us to do", you still might be rated down.  Here's the point:  You have be whinning for days about "I don't think General Clark would want us to use his forum to say bad things about the ticket" and "I don't think Gen. Clark would want us to say anything the republicans could use against the ticket", blah, blah, blah.  Okay, that is what you think.  Fine.  I think we have all heard it by now.  But I find it somewhat sanctimonious of you to try to tell us what we can and cannot say.  It reminds me of, er, the REPUBLICANS!
A bit of advice:  Give it a rest!  There are basically three different groups here, and all should be respected and not told HOW to think, or what they can and cannot say.
Group A:  Those who have never liked John E., who have been consistently saying it would be a bad choice, and are pissed off that Kerry selected someone so unqualified.  These folks are not upset that it isn't Clark, they are upset that it is Edwards.  They are upset that no one in the party seems to 'get' what they 'get', which is, foreign policy matters in a VP.  These folks are entitled to express their disgust without being criticized for speaking their mind.
Group B:  Those who are pissed off that it isn't General Clark who feel 1) robbed of their primary vote, 2) robbed of their opportunity to support true 'greatness' in the White House and Democratic Party, and 3) really quite upset that a man of little substance was chosen over General Clark.  These folks are entitled to express their disgust without being criticized for speaking their mind.
Group C:  Those who are indifferent to Edwards, or actually like him, and will only say great things about the ticket.  But they do not berate others who feel differently, and they do not tell group A and group B what they should or should not think.
And then there is you:  Telling others what they should and should not think, and what General Clark does or does not want to hear on this blog. You know what?  I think that if General Clark wanted us to just follow the establishment blindly, he would say so himself.  Instead, he asked us, IF WE CAN, to support Kerry.  He didn't demand it.  He didn't stiffle our dissent.  And to be honest with you, I don't think he ever would, regardless of whether or not we 'dissent' on a blog with his name attached to it.
So do us all a favor--let us say what we want to say without being constantly ridiculed by you.  We are all adults here, and I hardly think we need a babysitter, or any one else, to try to stiffle our dissent.

Anon 85:  You forget, there is also a group of us who are also pissed off about the "Hey, Iraq is an issue on which good people can disagree...there's only 140,000 people this affects, and WTF gives a darm about them anyway...let's not talk about unpleasant things like war" part of the official Democratic Platform on which K/E are running.
