Good Ol' Colin goes before this Senate committee and sez:
"I have read the transcript of the inflammatory tape which will be aired on Aljareeza
tonight, and let me tell you that Osama is just the Devil because he admits he has
hooked up with the other Devil Saddam, just like we told you before. Now do you
believe me?"
So somebody checks with Aljareeza and they say, "What tape, what the hell are you
talking about?" "The one Good Ol' Colin talked about this morning on Capitol Hill. You
know, that one
unh, ain't no tape. Even if there were, how would anyone be sure it was Osama
anyway?"
Then later the same day ta-da! A TAPE arrives at Aljareeza that has a label on it --
"The Osama Tape!" and they play it, and sure enough, some dude sez something like
what Good Ol' Colin had previously read from a transcript, and Aljareeza sez, "Well we
better go with it, eh?
Has there ever been a more transparent case of ... amateur propaganda committed by
our government?
Do you see why I say we are in growing mortal peril from the incompetence in DC?
