NY Post: THE WASLES WILL HEAR MORE EVIDENCE ON IRAQ IN UN TODAY"

The weasles, being of course "our former allies, France and Germany" whom Post expected to get properky humiliated. Nothing of the sort occured. Blix pretty much blew to smithereens Powell's presentations and, while trying to maintain the non-comitted tone remarked progress.
All the following speeches smacked Rummy's stupid comment on "the Old Europe"
France repeated several times "We are an old country - who remembers war" - their speech got applauded. China said: "We are an old culture" and Jack Straw got laughter by saying: "We are a very old country which was founded in 1066 by France".
So, Colon Bowell attempted to be witty only to manage a bushism: "We are a relatively new country, but the oldest democracy" (uh, Colon, there was a state in ancient Greece called Athens - oh, nevermind), and went downhill from there.
