C-Span showed last night coverage of Powell's accusations from Russian and French TV.
The Russians had pretty much straightforward reporting, very little comment. The French editorialized a lot - mostly on how inconsequential the speech was - not a vote was changed by it. The interesting aspect was that both the socialists and the right wing in France were firmly against the war and the commentator said: that reflects the attitude of the population. What a concept!
