I agree. They are doing knee-jerk stupid things. Like the choice of a new commerse department person who turns to have started a company in China. Demos jumped on it for outsourcing and he withdrew his application and it was very embarrasing for the Bushies.
The negative ads may help shore up Shrub'se extreme partisan core base, but it will alienate many independents and traditional fiscal conservative Republicans.
We really do have an opportunity this year and should go for it with all our effort. Kerry is not the worst candidate we have ever had, and he is so far better than Bush that it is indescribably. Clark is on the inside track of the Kerry campaign in whateve role he plays.
One that note: A story about Kerry's kids and step-kids, but a picture of Clark in a slideshow. The text below is from the slideshow. Hit Clark's picture and go to the slideshow.

FOR USE WITH STORY DEMOCRATS LESSONS LEARNED** Supporters listen as former Democratic presidential hopeful Gen. Wesley Clark (news - web sites) speaks to the crowd in Memphis, Tenn., after the Tennessee and Virginia primary elections in this Feb. 10, 2004 file photo. One by one, John Kerry (news - web sites)'s Democratic rivals fell by the wayside, shoved from the spotlight but nonetheless still far from irrelevant. There are lessons to be learned from the likes of John Edwards, Howard Dean (news - web sites) and Wesley Clark. It took a retired general, Clark, to show Democrats how to challenge President Bush on national security and Howard Dean demostrated how to harness the power of the Internet.
[And no one yet knows how we Clark bloggers were beating out the Deanies in the Internet realm, first competing in second place in December, and in January onward having more traffic than they did. This force is still available for Kerry if it is appreciated and drawn on by the Kerry camp.]
