Massachussets for Clark
Subject: [clarkactionteam] Voted for Clark

I proudly walked into the voting station today and placed my vote for
Wes Clark. I could not in good consience vote against him when he was
on the ballot after all the work that I put in to help him. My
feeling is that I will support whoever the nominee is but as of the
time that I cast my vote there was no nominee so I voted for whoever
I thought was the best person on the ballot. From talking to a lot of
people that I know here in Massachusetts they all did the same.
Actually a lot of people here really liked the general. We had a
database of about 6000 supporters and volunteers and even people who
were Kerry supporters (including a congressman or 2) have said in the
past that although they supported Kerry (due to the institutional
establishment) they actually really liked Clark and in many cases
were just waiting for Kerry to collapse so they could change sides to
Clark. On days like today I wonder what could have been here in
Massachusetts had Clark stayed in. While I think the Institutional
support would have been too much to overcome fully, I think we really
could have made things interesting.
