for those who missed Novak's finest moment, it was when he interviewed Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson the week of the deserter nonsense. his first question to Mary: "So what do you make of Clark saying that Bush was a deserter?" and she rightly said, "first of all, I don't agree with the spin you put on it. Moore said it, not Clark." he said nothing. and if you think the producers should have walked out and fired him on the spot for that, the last question was for Ted about the previous night's top ten list on Dave Letterman. With a straight face he asked Danson to explain the clip of Dean giving the number 4 way he would reinvigorate his campaign: "I'm going to get Ted Danson to back my campaign and do that thing he does". what did he mean by that, Mr. Danson? Instead of saying, look you, dumb fucking asshole and emabarrasment to all journalists everywhere, it's the letterman top ten list which we all know is nothing but a silly list of jokes!! Why the hell are we having this discussion?!" he just said, "I don't know what it means....but I like it."
