You prolly know I'm first gen American too.
And lots of other stuff in my past.  
Fighting for justice, being in the Peace Corps, and all the rest has been so important in my life that I am torn apart inside as well.
I was born in Sydney NY, closest town with a hospital.  Grew up all over the place.  NY, Ohio, TN, IL, PA, and then more later.
I've said that it makes me feel like all that I have fought for has been for nothing if this continues (Dubya).
