Just now, we got to see "Sleepy Wes" on tv.
The many modes of General Wes Clark stir the emotions. And "Sleepy Wes" stirs the warm and gentle affection that we and millions sometimes feel toward our favorite General.
That brilliant mind, even when sleepy, seems to be defining what he'll be putting into his book on the Campaign - his first book on politics per se.
From what he said to Aaron Brown last night and to Bill Hemmert this morning, he seems to be seeing the early stages of the Campaign as the Electorate being so angry with George W. Bush that the push of that pushed the nominating process to superspeed to get to get a nominee fast so all of the forces and strengths could come together in getting on with getting after getting Bush out of there.
(No, I don't have any inside information on General Wes writing a book on the Campaign of 2004. Or any outside information on that either.
It's just that he analyzes and writes so brilliantly and it's tendency to do that after a major event in which he's had a leadership role, so that it's bound to happen. Hope he publishes it.
I sure wish I had a Dragon Dictate program or some similar program that could take his words right off of the tv and into my computer. There were some fine ones this morning. For example, did anyone catch the rest of his phrase "library of  ______" when he was laying out his reply to Hemmert's question about the degree of importance of military experience for a Presidential Candidate. General Wes' reply, overall, was that national security experience was important, but it was the overall "library of ______" of the candidate.
(Let's keep the alerts going when some of us see that he's due to be on tv again.)
