I read the last thread and some of the conspiracy theories about why General Clark is endorsing Kerry, and some of them are just too far fetched (i.e. to distance himself from the Drudge intern allegation...I mean, COME ON!).
It is really quite simple:  General Clark is helping the party maintain the focus on foreign policy issues, and beating Bush.  It was General Clark who made it an issue, and he is merely continuing to make it an issue.
Our darling General is 'scary smart', and I don't question one bit his reasoning on this endorsement.  I welcome that he is smart enough to know that if we have ANY chance to beat Bush, the nominee absolutely MUST have foreign policy experience (even though Kerry will likely be in a heated battle, at least he has a chance, and the others do not).  Since he can no longer compete to be the nominee himself, it makes perfect sense to endorse Kerry--there is no other choice.
AND for those pissing and moaning Deanies and Edwardians and Anonymice coming in here to bitch about it, they have one intention and one intention only:  For you to go over and join them.  Pure and simple.
And as is typical the last few days,
*PLEASE VOTE FOR GENERAL CLARK IN YOUR STATE'S PRIMARY ELECTION...if we get delegates to the floor that are like minded, we can change the party from within.**
