5. things to take from this experience/be reminded of, in order to strive everyday to be good citizens of America and this endangered planet:
1. Don't make excuses, make commitments
2. Always take the high road.  The General won our hearts with truth, honor and conviction not deception, empty promises, and rhetoric.
3. Civil discourse rocks, despite what the media would have you believe.
4. Limited cable rocks- to all of you who complain about the cable networks-they can only live through your subscribership.
5. I love all of the people who made the videos that inspired me to write more letters and make more calls: "Take a shower and shine your shoes, you are a young man, you must be living. Go now, you are forgiven."
To quote the General, "Stand up. . . Tell the Truth. . . and Be Counted."  
Thank you to General Clark, to your family, and to all that worked so hard for this campaign!
