Can't Believe...
I wish I knew a little more,too, about why he didn't soldier on if Dean could.    And hopefully, we will know more, in time. 
The irritating thing for me personally is the fact that my Republican husband said two weeks ago....."It's over.  The Democratic Leadership has decided that they would rather lose gracefully with Kerry than take a risk with an unknown quantity.  The risk is just too great down the ticket."
Oh man......that hurt...and sent me to the headquarters with a headache that didn't leave 'til past noon.  It had a ring of truth, though, that I couldn't deny. 
I believe, in the end, that it is just that simple.  And who knows, boring ol' Kerry may have just hit the trifecta.......his timing may be just right...the stuff just may start sticking to Bush. 
There may be a cold day in Hell.  Stranger things have happened.  I think.
