Main reason that the Clark campaing ended:
The average voter lets their T.V. do their thinking.
General Clark, get on T.V. now that they don't consider you a "threat" and lead the discourse.  Hold Bush accountable, ask the democratic candidates for real commitments to specifics, support congressmen that supported you, make the press have to listen to what you have to say, promote dissent, give the voters something to think about while they watch their T.V.s

Of course he is still a threat, why would 2 TV stations cut his speech right as he started laying into W?
Why did the WH insist that CNN fire him? Why did W pick the timing of his "Nuke them all" right at 3PM today? (anyone remembers his Iraq plan speech was also hastily staged to preempt Clark's exit strategy?
Gues what? No more exit strategy! We are back to axis of evil, while Skerry is talking about Vietnam...The opposition has been gagged
Of course, someone reminded me, no matter who the candidate were, the junta will not cede power. They comitted too many crimes to risk it. The outcome is predetermined. It's just that for a few months I had a voice and it felt good.
Now it's gone again. No one left to speak for me.
And for you, deanies, no one sane and articulate
As Clark said: to withstand their attacks you have to know who you are and what you stand for. No one else meets the requirements.
We're fucked.
