Just watched Wes Clark on Charlie Rose...I want him to be my president. First time. I feel like a virgin voter, one who actually wants to cast a vote for the right person for the first time ever. America? America? You need to shed the light on thee...'cause the media ain't gonna do it for ya.
Rose did back off and let Clark be Clark. Clark word of the day: tautology. In reference to the circular thinking about Iowa. He said that going to Iowa meant 29 days, four million dollars, and an organization that was not there. Plus_they had to roll the dice at a time when the race looked like gep-dean. Actually, if Gephardt had narrowly won Iowa, we would be talking about who should be Wes Clark's running mate.
BTW, this was a difficult interview for me to watch. Clark was joking and brilliant and full of information and enthusiasm. His "Q" factor was off the charts.
Yes_he is endorsing a Senator tomorrow. gackkk!
The General's endorsement is not our endorsement, since Kerry will never get mine. In some ways, the General's endorsement, is not even a real endorsement. Nevertheless, Wes has some currency to spend on this. After this round of primaries, Clark's endorsement goes down in value, and he has earned every vote and should reap something for how hard he has worked. It's okay folks really. The difference between being an insider and an outsider is really about putting this country before politics.
As usual, his clarity of understanding of the issues, his love of this country burst forth. What was surprising is how well he knows himself. I will always be a Clarkie, and damn it! I'm crying again. Kerry is just another flawed candidate who may win. I do hope for that considering that the country can't go on this way and Wes sees that too. But it doesn't change the fact that Wesley Clark should be our president.
Stay strong. We are together because we also want to live in a better country, that is what we saw in Wes. Stay together.
Absolutely vote for Clark in the primaries...it is the best vote you will ever cast.
