I took down my Clark buttons and my window sign, made a little modification, and put them back in their rightful places. Above Clark04 I put: Buck the Dems, Vote (then the Clark 04 bit) Anyway.
I am still really mad at the DNC and this is my little kick in their arse. However, I fully appreciate what Wes is doing and in his usual fashion of thinking of other things besides himself, he has vowed to change this party and change America. I fully intend to vote for Clark in WI on Tuesday with the understanding that if he picks up a few more delegates, we have that much more representation at the DNC.
As much as I like to think that some coup will happen and he'll end up being the nominee, I'm also realistic. It's beyond unlikely. But getting a voice at the DNC is still gonna happen no matter what has transpired and I want to do my part to see that happen.
I too, was sick that he felt he needed to endorse Kerry, who I really dislike as a politician. That said, Wes knows that the ultimate goal here (again, thinking beyond himself) is to GET BUSH GONE!!! And this is the best way to do that. I do see it. I still won't vote for Kerry in the primary, but I will vote for him in the GE.
Besides, I want to vote for Clark, the guy for whom it was worth blowing off homework for a solid month :) There's still the rest of the semester to put the GPA aright!
In Milwaukee, most people still have up their Clark 04 yard signs, so I hope there are more people planning to do the same thing as I am at the election booth.
And this NEW yard sign has appeared in the affluent Shorewood neighborhood: Eye-catching black and yellow with the words Regime Change Begins at Home. Bush/Cheney Out Now!
Has anyone else seen these? I would love to get one!
