In response to #2 and FYI...
Don't cry!
Hey you guys can read my account of today's endorsement, as posted from an earlier blog...
------------------------
Well, I have returned from the endorsement and the after-party -- the after-party being the incredible meeting with Wes and the Badgers for Clark.
The endorsement was what it was -- I know a lot of you are like "Eww, Kerry" but he was always my second choice. A distant second, none compare to my General.
Clark spoke well and it was so awesome to be right there up close seeing him. I chanted WE WANT WES at the beginning, if you can hear on the CSPAN video. My group members chimed in too. Anyway, I cannot speak much for the endorsement, or the motivations behind it, but I do know this. Clark has influenced and will continue to influence this party. He knows what the cause is and is going to work for it. And we all know it too!! And I cannot wait to support him in what he does. What an experience.
So the better part of the morning was when Badgers for Clark had the opportunity to meet General Clark personally. Last night I gathered notes from my NH intern friends to give to General Clark and I told him... "These are notes from the NH interns, who slept on floors for you,? because we believe in you and cannot thank you enough for the incredible experience. I hope you'll read them." He glanced at the paper and said, "I'll be sure to read it." He also then signed my picture that I took with him :) Hehe. Then all my group members met him, took pictures, and then took one big picture at the end. Please be sure to see all of our pictures soon at www.sit.wisc.edu/~badgersforclark. I am standing to his left in the big pictures. He hugged me in those pictures. I'm gushing, I know. But wow. This has been so wonderful.
When Wes left, I cried. I did. I couldn't believe that we couldn't get our ultimate prize. But in the end, we changed history a little, we helped introduce this incredible man to the Democratic party. He is a star, he will continue to shine for us. He helped bring policy and leadership to the forefront and that's what I'll always cherish.
I'm gonna go cry a little then do my homework. Thanks guys.
