Kramer, I would disagree with DC on the point that we drafted Clark to be the anti-Dean.  That's the spin the media has taken as well.  I think most of us looked at the field of candidates already in the race and made a mental note that none of them were who we wanted.  We wanted Clark to be president.  It's that simple.  Now, when Dean imploded, that may have impacted the campaign in a negative way, because the press saw him as the anti-Dean, but I disagree that his supporters did.  I'd feel short changed, if the whole point of his campaign was to ding Bush on the war to the point Kerry would become attractive and to be the heavy to knock Dean out of the race.  Then again, I'm older than DC and see things from a very different perspective.
